Contact form 7 not sending email GoDaddy fix

Are you having problems with GoDaddy not sending mail through your contact form 7?  Here is how you can fix it so your emails get delivered.  It’s a fairly easy configuration to setup.

I’ve had this issue several times with clients hosted on GoDaddy and I finally found a solution that works for me.  Hopefully this will work for you as well.

The first step is to insert an email address wordpress@yourdomain.com  into the from field.  I use wordpress@billybwebdesigns.com  This is the default for wordpress so you don’t have to create a new email.

Now that you have the from field set it’s time to move onto the biggest reason for GoDaddy not sending  and receiving  your emails.  If the subject field is not set properly, GoDaddy may see the form request but will treat it as spam if the user doesn’t input a proper subject.  The fix is easy.  Don’t let your users input the subject and define your own.  Don’t worry you can still use a subject for your users to input but just don’t use it in the main subject field.

Next is the additional headers section.  In this section fill it in with the following info.

Sender: noreply@yourdomain.com.com
Reply-To:[your-name]<[your-email]>

This function will allow you to reply to the sender.

Here is the completed settings that I use now.  So far so good.  I hope this fi

xes your issue with contact form 7 and GoDaddy.
